THE RACE - ISSUE 1
Welcome to The RACE (Reaching Algerians with Christ's Embrace)!!!
We are pleased to send you this premiere installment of "The RACE." In
each segment, we will bring you the Arabs of Algeria. You will learn
about their customs and beliefs and about their worldviews and heritage.
The purpose of "The RACE" is not merely to broaden your knowledge about
Algerian Arabs but rather to increase your heart for them. You will come
face-to-face with a people and a land very different from everything that
you know.
"The RACE" is a free weekly publication which assists mission organizations,
churches, and concerned Christians by providing timely information about
the Arabs of Algeria. Also, it tells what God is doing to bring them
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that you will become more interested
in Algerian Arabs and pray for them and all Christian workers who serve
among them making Christ known.
It is not possible to work as a "missionary"
to Arabs living in Algeria or other Islamic countries. To protect the
identities of all workers that they may remain and function in these
countries, all names of individuals, organizations, and locations of
service described in "The RACE" will be changed. Brief prayer requests
are included in these emails. We hope you will put it in your Bible
and use it when you pray for the people and the work of God's Kingdom. We
desire your prayers, comments, and suggestions for future editions. Please,
