THE RACE - ISSUE 16
Who will lead them?

One of the greatest needs in Algeria is the training of church leaders. And in principle, it is one of the easiest needs to meet- simply, teach them.

However, it's not that easy.

There are several reasons why.  Difficulty in access.  Lack of Christian materials.  Small numbers of believers. Training procedure. Yet for churches to be planted and to grow in Algeria, leaders need to take the lead!  Algerian leaders.  Godly, bold, mature Algerian leaders.

The Bible is full of examples of men and women who led others: Nehemiah, Moses, Paul, and of course, Christ Jesus, the greatest example of servant-leadership.  Also, Scripture lists qualities of spiritual leaders.. Hebrews 13:17 identifies leaders in the local church that care for the spiritual welfare of the people.

We must undergird the work to train Algerian church leaders in fervent prayer.  Pray to the Lord of the Harvest for Algerian harvesters for the fields.

Psalms 31:3 says, "For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me."  Indeed, the Holy Spirit is the True Equiper and Guide for the churches in Algeria.

Please, pray for the efforts to train Algerian church leaders to be lead and protected by the Lord.  And pray for the leaders themselves- that they may be bold, wise, and anointed.

So all may know the Truth.
