THE RACE - ISSUE 17
Isolation

In Luke 15: 7, Jesus said, "I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."

Oh, the joy one experiences when he gives his life to Christ!  And Oh, the joy in heaven when one repents of his sins!

Do you remember the time you gave your life to Christ and the moment you entered into the community of believers?  You entered into a new family; you immediately had their love and support.

You were not alone.

In Algeria, many are coming to faith by listening to Christian radio programs and by watching Christian satellite broadcasts.  Yet, for most, once they find new life in Christ, they find themselves alone.  Isolated. Cut off from personal support.

They do not know another Algerian Christian.  Not a single one.  They are isolated.  They cling to God because they do not have anyone with whom to pray or to worship.

Abdullah is like many new Algerian Christians.  After listening to Christian radio programs for two years, he gave his life to Christ. However, for almost two years, he was alone in his faith.  "I thought that I was the only Algerian Christian in the world!  I had no personal contact with any believers in Algeria."

Please, pray for the thousands of Algerians who have responded to the Gospel from radio and satellite programs.  Pray that God would help them discover and experience Christian fellowship.

No longer alone- part of the Family!
