THE RACE - ISSUE 25 January 2001
Priorities

If you are like me, the pressures of daily life can take their toll. Children.  Ministry.  Future needs.  Present needs.  There are only so many minutes in a day to do all that there is to do!  How does one prioritize?  How does one do what is most needy?

Well, one could simply ask God.  Lord, what do You want me to do today? This week?  Where can I best a servant to others?  You tell me because You know and desire what is best for others and me.

That's a great place to start.  Of course, even when God shows His desire for our lives, life itself does not necessarily get any easier. Just a more purposeful.

In the ministry to reach Algeria with the Gospel of Christ, the needs and opportunities can seem intimidating and overwhelming.

Where does one start with a population of 33 million?  What can one person do to change the course of this nation?  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.  (1 Corinthians 2:16)

After much prayer and petitioning of the Lord for guidance, one ministry has come to the forefront.  The training of godly Algerian brothers and sisters is one of the greatest needs faced by the emerging Church in Algeria. Wisdom and courage is needed on the part of all participants - Algerians (Arabs & Berbers) and partnering mission organizations & churches.

Many other needs exist in Algeria.  A host of opportunities must be pursued. But the training of church leaders is foundational to the spiritual health of the Church and its sustaining Biblical growth.

God has said, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." (Psalms 32:8)

Please, pray for this ongoing ministry to prepare church leaders for ministry in their homeland.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would teach and guide each that the Church in Algeria would expand and become a light in Algeria, in the Arab World, and to the uttermost.

Your participation in intercession is vital!  Seize this opportunity to stand side-by-side your Algerian brothers and sisters!  For the Kingdom and for the glory of the King!!!
