THE RACE - ISSUE 26 February 2001
Resources

One of the greatest resources in Algeria, or in any other country for that matter, is its youth.  Energy.  Hope.  Future.  Young people are, in sense, the life-blood of a nation.  Investing in the education and development of youth insures continued growth- or at least should insure!

Algeria's youth make up the vast majority of the population.  Some populations in Europe are actually decreasing and becoming older and older.  Algeria isn't like this at all.

What would the country look like in five or ten years if many youth and university students were won for Christ?  Economically? Politically?  Spiritually?

The Bible promises: "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)  While this verse speaks to parents directly, I think we can apply this to evangelizing and discipling youth.  What a promise!

Right now, doors are opening for ministry directly with university students.  This is a new opportunity for the work in Algeria, one that we must pursue for the future of the country.

As the RACE "runs" on to meet the challenges and opportunities before us, would you commit to pray for the universities in Algeria.  Pray that this generation would know Christ and His love.  Pray for wisdom and courage to know and to do what is best to reach the country!

Until all may know-

The Algerian Arab Team
