THE RACE - ISSUE 32 April 2001
Fellow Workers

One of the joys of serving among Algerians is you get to pray for and minister with great brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world.  Different people.  Different denominations.  Different cultures.

But one heart for God and for the lost.

Many times in the Epistles, Paul writes noting his "fellow workers" and "fellow bond-servants."  Paul understood that he himself could not do all the work to spread the Gospel message throughout the world. His was an important role that none but Paul could do.  But others had important roles, too.  Tychicus, Epaphroditus, Aristarchus, Prisca, Junias, Urbanus, and others whose names may not be commonly known to us all (Trust me.  These are actually found in the Epistles!).  These "fellow workers" had ministries that only they themselves could do, not Paul, not John, not Barnabas.

John exhorts us to "support such men, that we may be fellow workers with the truth." (3 John 1:8)

Today, we have a great privilege to pray for and to support some dear "fellow workers" ministering to reach Algeria and all of North Africa with the Gospel of Christ.  Channel North Africa (CNA) is a God-blessed and ordained vision to penetrate the "impenetrable" walls around the hearts of millions of North Africans by broadcasting Christian programs in their heart-languages.  This bold effort is founded in Christ's leadership and cutting-edge mission practices. Many in North Africa cannot read, but all can listen . . . listen to the Good News being articulated in their own tongue!

We believers, who are spread around the globe, let us lift up our brothers and sisters laboring to see Channel North Africa realize its potential.  Let us pray that the programs will indeed speak to people's hearts.  Pray that God will bring others to serve in CNA in production and in administration.  Call out to the Father for the necessary resources and funding to be raised.

Ours is a vital role to play in CNA.  Perhaps not in providing production expertise but in providing prayer support and funding.
