Project Northern Lights 2001: Starting Strong
This year's PNL ministry is already well underway. God has been opening doors for sharing the Gospel and hundreds have already joyfully received Bibles and Jesus Films. Here's just a taste of what's been going on with PNL so far!!!
One day, one of the volunteers was passing out Gospel packets when a North African man refused to receive one. He told the volunteer "No" because he was a Muslim. In response, the volunteer suggested that he could still take the packet because it was about Jesus and Muslims honor Jesus. This man said that he had the Qur'an and that was enough. He went on to say that the Qur'an had the complete truth about Jesus--- all that he needed to know.
Will you pray for this man and for thousands of other North Africans who are bondage to their Islamic tradition-a tradition that keeps them from even investigating the claims of Christ?
While distributing at the port, one of the PNL team gave a packet to an individual who works at the port and who is a North African. He was very appreciative and shared how he had moved to France ten years ago but never really knew much about Christianity. That very night, he watched the Jesus film! The next day, he told a team member how much he liked the video. He also read much of the New Testament. This seeking North African made arrangements to visit with some volunteers on his next workday.
Please, pray that God will touch his heart further with the gospel!
We praise God for the receptivity of the North Africans. We praise God for the many Gospel seeds that are being planted in their hearts.
Please, make this summer a summer dedicated to interceding for thousands of North Africans who will come in contact with the Gospel for the very first time!!!
