Write a Letter
In the epistle to the Thessalonian church, Paul shares his unbounded love for his fellow brothers & sisters in Christ Jesus. He writes,
We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father. . . You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of the Holy Spirit. (I Thes 1:2-3; 6)
Can you imagine the encouragement that this church must have felt from these words? What would you have felt if you had been one of the believers in the Thessalonian church?
The Thessalonian church had become an example for other believers to follow who lived in other areas of the world. Though they lived in a difficult time and in a difficult place, their faith stood strong.
Today, the Church in Algeria is standing strong. Living and serving in a difficult time and in a difficult place. Yet, believers around the world know their faith and passion.
Today, you have the opportunity to write a letter to the church in Algeria- expressing your love for them and your prayer for their holiness & boldness in life & witness. They may never see you face-to-face on this earth, but one day we, the Body, will see each other in God’s presence.
Please, take time today to write a letter of encouragement to our brothers & sisters in Christ you live in Algeria! We want hundreds of letters of support to lift up the Algerian church.
NOTE: You can write you letters and email them to therace@pobox.com or follow the contact information at www.therace.ws . Include the name of your country, and- if you’d like- your first name. You can write in any language & we will translate the email into the appropriate language(s). Then, we will securely deliver them to the church in Algeria.
The important thing is for you to express your heart of love and support for your family in the Algerian Church!
