Turbulent Times
Attention Intercessors: Your prayers for Algeria are perhaps needed more now than ever before!
Right now, we are at a critical point in Algeria's history. We are seeing & experiencing unprecedented doors of opportunity for ministry- the church growing in number & maturity- and an ever-increasing number of global intercessors.
God is definitely at work!
But sadly, Satan is definitely at work, too. His vile plans to try and destroy what God is bringing about in Algeria are ever present. He knows God's Spirit is blowing across this land in new & powerful ways.
Presently, many Algerians are nervous about the up-coming elections (May 31). Many feel that if Algeria can have peaceful elections then one could say that the long period of trouble & bloodshed has passed.
Recently, the president has declared 2 languages as official in Algeria: Arabic & Kabyle. This has been met with mixed responses- by both sides.
Still in some areas of the Kabylia Region, reports of protests & the use of tear gas are surfacing. (Yet, in many areas in Algeria, people from different ethnic groups live in peace.)
Please, pray that God’s Spirit would have His way in Algeria. Pray that Satan would not be able to prevent God’s purposes in the elections.
This is a critical time for Algeria- unlike any in recent years. There is a great potential for Algeria to move forward in new & exciting ways—but there is also the danger that Satan could reinsert his grip on the nation & its people.
Commit now to stand in the gap daily for Algeria.
