THE RACE - ISSUE 57 October 2002
Via TV

More and more Algerians are watching satellite television. And in particular, many Algerians are watching Arabic Christian programming. Sat7 (a major Arabic language Christian network) reports that Algeria makes up the largest single country of their regular viewer ship!

What an opportunity for the Gospel to penetrate into the hearts and minds of tens of thousands of Algerians!

Also, Channel North Africa (a Christian satellite channel specifically focusing on programming in North African languages) is increasing its efforts to reach Algeria via the airways.

Algerian women like the respectful way women are portrayed in the programs. They note that this helps them look hopefully to their future.

An Algerian man did not know a great deal about Jesus Christ. But after watching a program and hearing about forgiveness, he asked the Lord for forgiveness. He rejoiced saying that the real light of Jesus Christ came into his heart!

Please, pray for those who are working to share the Gospel by satellite television. Pray for wisdom and for the financial requirements. And pray for Algerians not only to watch programs but also to allow God to work in their hearts.
